Dimitris Gkikas is a Greek Architect who graduated with a Professional diploma (M.Arch equivalent) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, department of Architecture in 2001 and a Postgraduate specialization diploma (M.Arch) from the National Technical University of Athens, department of Architecture in 2004.
Following his passion for architecture, he forged his skillset while working for prominent architectural offices in Athens, Zagreb, Oslo, Nicosia and Limassol. His architectural journey includes awards in international competitions such as Best landscape architecture project at the VI International Biennale of Young Architects in Minsk, Russia, a praise for the Lyceum of Dasoupoli competition in Nicosia, the 2nd best architectural project of the years 2009-2013 in Greece and a participation at the 8th Biennale of Greek Architects in Athens.
His work includes building design of all scales (residential, shops, museums, research center and hotels). The most well-known project he worked on in Cyprus is the Aliathon Hotel Extension in Paphos where he had a Lead Architect role.
While working in Croatia, he became certified inspector for the energy efficiency of buildings and he is also a member of the Greek, Croatian and Cyprus Chambers of Architects.
